She was confident that nothing wrong would happen to the patient and left the patient at the OR alone to have a coffee. After several minutes, the patient fell asleep and fell from the OR table, resulting in contusions and lacerations. Dr. Diaz, the surgeon, can also be charged for negligence under this doctrine.
