A 27-year-old G2P1, 36 weeks pregnant, came to the emergency room due to uterine contractions. During the internal examination, it was found that she had 2 cm dilatation and a station of -2, with adequate pelvimetry. After 14 hours, another internal examination showed that she had 3 cm dilatation, still at station -2. What is the preferred management in this case?
