An attractive, normal-appearing 25-year-old woman seeks medical attention because she has not experienced a menstrual period and cannot get pregnant. Upon physical examination, the external genitalia appear normal, although a rudimentary vagina is found. In addition, the uterus and uterine tubes are absent.
