PLE-3171
A 65-year-old male went for a consultation due to one week of fever episodes, weight loss, and palpitations. Upon physical examination, it was noted that he was tachycardic and had a holosystolic murmur at the 5th left intercostal space midclavicular line, which radiated towards the axilla. An echocardiogram revealed the presence of vegetations in the mitral valve. Blood culture results showed the presence of a gram-positive organism that is PYR positive, esculin positive, and can grow in 6.5% NaCl and bile. What ancillary procedure should be done next?
