What is the drug of choice to treat rebound hypertension in a 65-year-old male who abruptly discontinued his Clonidine medication for hypertension after a few months because he felt better? After 2 days, he experienced strong headaches. Three days after withdrawal, his home blood pressure levels were 140-150/95-105 mmHg. Ten days later, he went to the emergency room with a symptomatic hypertensive crisis at 220/130 mmHg.
